The Members of the Urban Cooperative Enterprise Legal Center are divided into five (5) cohorts, representing the multi-disciplinary approach of the Center.  Members help sustain the Legal Center's work of promoting cooperative enterprises within low and moderate income communities while also allowing the Center to be self-sufficient.  Contact us if you are interested in joining!

Lawyers for the New Economy Circle

About

 The Lawyers for the New Economy Circle is composed of attorneys who are interested in advancing social resiliency and economic empowerment within low and moderate income communities. These members understand the importance of using the law to advance the new economy within low and moderate income communities, especially through cooperative enterprises.

Membership Cost and Benefits 

$350/yr in exchange for pro bono opportunities, networking events, writing and publishing opportunities, leadership opportunities, workshops, and members' spotlight. 

Social Entrepreneurship Circle

About

The Social Entrepreneurship Circle is composed of entrepreneurs who are interested in advancing social resiliency and economic empowerment within low and moderate income communities. These members understand the importance of entrepreneurship within low and moderate income communities, especially cooperative entrepreneurship.

Membership Cost and Benefits

$250/yr in exchange for networking events, writing and publishing opportunities, leadership opportunities, workshops, and members' spotlight. 

Planners for Sustainability Circle

About

The Planners for Sustainability Circle is composed of urban planners or community and regional planners who are interested in advancing social resiliency and economic empowerment within low and moderate income communities. These members understand the importance of community planning within low and moderate income communities, especially community plans aimed at advancing cooperative enterprises.

Membership Cost and Benefits

 $150/yr in exchange for networking events, writing and publishing opportunities, leadership opportunities, workshops, and members' spotlight.  

Community Circle

About

 The Community Circle is composed of members of the surrounding community who are interested in advancing social, economic, and environmental sustainability within low and moderate income communities.

Membership Cost and Benefits

 $50/yr in exchange for leadership opportunities, community panels, workshops, community events, and members' spotlight. 

Student Circle

About

The Student Circle is composed of college and post-graduate students who are interested in advancing social, economic, and environmental sustainability within low and moderate income communities. 

Membership Cost and Benefits

 $25/yr in exchange for networking events, mentorship, writing and publishing opportunities, leadership opportunities, and educational workshops.
